y all cricket sporting countries. Australia and South Africa being two giants of the cricket world were not able to maintain this Mount Everest of score.
From Asian nations, Sri Lanka plunged in and made a new world record but this time opponents were equally weak. The Netherlands were no match to one time World Cup winner Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka made 443 runs for nine in quota of fifty over and crushed Holland at 248th They were playing a two match series against the Netherlands.
Both highest ODI scores were different in nature. South Africa was chasing the unbelievable pile of runs mounted by Australia whereas Sri Lanka was playing against a meager first cricket team. Secondly, Australia was the first to cross the 400 line for a ODI, not mentioning the fact that they were stunned by the equally vigorous chase from the protease.
Today two other giant cricket nations clashed and India piled 414 but Sri Lanka lost this match worth seeing only at last ball of the match. They managed to score 411 in over fifty. Indian Sehwag made 146 with 17 boundaries and sixes 6, while the opponent Dilshan made 160 with 20 boundaries and 3 sixes.
No doubt, highest ODI score is yet to be made. Guys! 500 line is not too far!
